PLASCON MAINTAINS BRC ‘AA’ PACKAGING CERTIFICATION 3 YEARS RUNNING!
Each year, to maintain our BRC Certified standing, Plascon undergoes an intensive 1-2 day audit process with an independent auditor who comes onsite and evaluates our production and warehousing operations. Upon completion of this inspection, we receive a report followed by our “score” for the audit. For the third year in a row, Plascon has received ‘AA’ Certification – the highest score possible from a scheduled BRC audit!
WHAT IS THE BRITISH RETAIL CONSORTIUM (BRC) & WHAT DOES THE ‘AA’ RATING MEAN?
The British Retail Consortium (BRC) is one of the few certification programs that assures packaging suppliers are compliant to the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Recognized worldwide, this initiative is important in that it requires companies to achieve and maintain a standard of excellence by adhering to the highest standards put forth by the food-manufacturing industry with regards to Food & Product Safety. The “AA”certification is the highest possible rating for a BRC planned audit. Our certification pertains specifically to packaging, with the scope of the certification in manufacturing, conversion and warehousing of flexible packaging intended for use in food contact packaging applications.
WHY THIS MATTERS TO YOU
If your business involves the packaging of food products, then BRC Standards and Certification are critical to ensuring only the highest quality and safety to your end customers. At Plascon, our bags and liners are not only FDA & USDA approved, but we have taken the extra precautionary step to also be BRC Certified. Our team’s dedication to deliver the highest product integrity and security for our customers is ongoing 365 days a year, and as a team, we will strive to continuously meet and exceed expectations for your food safety packaging needs.
